For the last few months i've been dual booting Ubuntu and Windows XP. However i'm thinking bout try out fedora again, after a year ago when i last tryed it. Anyway, my HDD is setup so both O/S' are setup on the same HDD, in a 80gb partion and a 35gb partion (and 512mb for swap space). The question is: Can I swipe Ubuntu, Install Fedora, and still see windows XP in the bootloader? Or will it involve mass code fiddling, just to get it working?
In theory yes but i would stick with Ubuntu (greater package system) but modyfy it to change the colors.
You should be fine Brooxy. Just nuke the Ubuntu partition and the Windows partitions should be picked up automagically
if you nuke the ubuntu partition and install fedora the bootloader in fedora should pick it up. the only time you would need to "fiddle" would be to go back to windows only as it requires the recovery console.
