    Console Update

Well here you go. I started this a while back and I only work on it during my lunch break so excuse the slow process.

I started off by taking a 4 ft by 8 ft by 2 inch sheet of closed cell foam. I cut it the width of the console and and stacked strips of it and glued them together. I then s  haped and shaped and shaped :dremel: with a saw and hack saw blade and sanded it with 80 grit wrapped around a 2 by 6 black for a large straight surface area. I the pu 1 layer 2 layers in some spots of fiberglass on top of the foam. Sorry for no beginning pics. Next step is where I am at is the BONDO Stage. If you could skip this step everybody would make stuff like this. :wallbash: I used kitty hair around the screen bezel for buildup strength. I then skin coated the whole thing and I am sanding with 80 grit. Next I will hit is with 320 Grit. On the next Update I will have pics of finish touches and then gel coat being sprayed.

I am puting a mini - itx and the screen is a 7 inch touchscreen. I am flush mounting a touchpad in my armrest and I will post pics of a fiberglass shroud I made to hold the keyboard on my visor. I am also mounting a slot DVD player somewhere.

    Now for pics!!

Odds are that your ISP gives you 5mb or so of space for hosting as well (THE number one most overlooked place to host mod pics!!). You're paying for it, why not use it. :eyebrow:

I see you have it sitting on a motor crate/box. Are you in boat repair or manufacturer? :cooldude:
