Hey, just about to buy all my components for a new build but before spending an entire summers wages on a computer, thought i'd seek the expertise of the forums beforehand!

    Asus p6t
    i7 920
    Lancool PC-K62
    Be Quiet! 650w
    Asus ATI 4890 1gb
    Corsair 4GB 1600mhz ddr3 dual channel
    Samsung 1TB hdd
    LG W2353v 23" Lcd

Prettty new to all this so very open to suggestions, criticism or any other general advice. My budgets preferably under the £1000 mark.

Change this to 6gb Triple Channel DDR3 1333Mhz. From what I have seen there is almost no difference between the 1600 and 1333 speeds unless you are benchmarking.

cheers guys, great input. my main concern is whether or not my motherboard is futureproof enough, read some articles of the possibilty of a six core processer so i'm guessing thats where the lastest hardware's heading. not sure if the p6t supports that; i've read and heard good things about the gigbabyte ga ex-58 udr5 though and wondered if you guys think its best to completely futureproof or save a bit of cash?

considering the next iteration of i7/i9 processors will be on the 1366 platform, I *think* you should be fine
