Hey... I saw that some one was using a LK204-25-PC to control his room lights with and asked for a small write up, well he got back to me and here it is! Controling your room lights with a LK204-25-PC GPOs... http://www.lcdforums.com/forums/viewtopic.php?topic=738&forum=4&3
hmmm. interesting.. I remember you talking about them once before regarding teh stop light didn't you!
Yeah, I think solid state would be the thing. If I weren't completely and utterly backlogged to heck, I'd write it up. But the Discolitez site has the diagram for what you'd want to do.
ahh excelent I'm thinking I might have to do something like that too... use LCDC to turn on the lights in the morning to help me get up and maybe a security system, have the lights turn on ad off when you are away to make it look like you are home..
Cleaved from a large junk of silicon he is r. p.s. don't think it really matters what the guy used for the isolation electronics - it's all going up in flames anyway
Still, nice idea! I'd used some rc-stuff actually, no wires and stuff, and you can even show off more! or something...
That is one dangerous mod. Not the idea, but the way it has been implemented. It breaks almost every wiring safety regulation. Beware of lawyers brandishing writs. Apart from that, cool.
Only prob would be that if you don't want to use external microcontrollers than you'd have to use for every GPO a differint frequency
haha, i actually saw a project on slashdot that had a nerf-disc shoot at you when you got new email rofl not sure where the link is , it was pretty sweet though
Thus hence that huge dislaimer!!! It could definetly be improved upon, but I posted it more along the lines of look at what you can do...
