Optocoupled triacs. I hate that clicking. Plus I'm a solid-state kind of guy.

Yeah, I think solid state would be the thing.

If I weren't completely and utterly backlogged to heck, I'd write it up. But the Discolitez site has the diagram for what you'd want to do.

    ahh excelent :)

I'm thinking I might have to do something like that too... use LCDC to turn on the lights in the morning to help me get up :) and maybe a security system, have the lights turn on ad off when you are away to make it look like you are home..

Cleaved from a large junk of silicon he is :)

p.s. don't think it really matters what the guy used for the isolation electronics - it's all going up in flames anyway :D

    Still, nice idea!

I'd used some rc-stuff actually, no wires and stuff, and you can even show off more! or something...

That is one dangerous mod. Not the idea, but the way it has been implemented.:eeek:

It breaks almost every wiring safety regulation. Beware of lawyers brandishing writs.:eyebrow:

    Apart from that, cool.:p

Only prob would be that if you don't want to use external microcontrollers than you'd have to use for every GPO a differint frequency
