    I bought this fan bus off Frozencpu.com -> www.frozencpu.com/bus-11.html

    the fan bus can give a max of 12volts and min from 5V to 7V. It works fine for controlling my fans, but let me say i know nothing or at least very little of electronics, so im shooting in the dark on this one. Would this be able to turn on and off my cold cathodes, with the amount of voltage it is putting out if not is there some mod i could do that would allow it to do this?

    thanks for you help in advance

    You'll be able to turn them down a bit, but it's likely they won't light along the full length at some point. Plus, AFAIK, it can damage them turning the voltage down so low they go off and leaving them on that setting.

    PWM controllers work well on my CCFL but not all like a pulsed supply.

    edit: looked at the link, it's just a switched 12V/7V/off controller, I doubt you'll see much at 7V, but you can use the 12V and 'off' positions to switch a CCFL.
