I have a pair of Compaq X6000 notebooks - 17" screen, 1680x1050 resolution. I want to take them out of the case, put them in plexi, and use them for a standard set of screens. I know I need an inverter for this, but what kind? I'm having trouble finding compatibility info for these things.
It'd be cheaper to buy new desktop screens and take them apart, as these panels would need very expensive controllers to operate at all.
