Looks pretty cool. I like the idea of cutting the case down. Looks like a good size for making a MCPC. Can't wait to see the sliders put on, that is an awesome idea.

    Update 3

Alright so I've been playing with the sliders a bit. seams It's going to be a bit of a paint in the but already.

I'm going to try and explain the problem I'm having with the sliders as best i can, It's fairly simple actually.

As seen above, The ball bearing "coasters" are acutely pretty restricting in the distance the inner sliding piece can move.

I've came up with two options. one of witch makes the motherboard removable, but i have to remove the ball bearings. or another with it would keep the ball bearings, but be flimsier and less stable.

    I took the bearing coaster

And cut it up like so

Then I'm planing to rivet the two pieces like this (use bolts for testing)

I'd like to find a way to be able to keep the ball bearings in the coaster and still have it removable, but I've also been thinking of some sort of plastic slider connected to it. just a lot of thought and trial and error going on. My work on it a bit threw out the day, Planning to get the rear, non sliding parts of the slider as almost a single piece with a center brace riveting them together, I want this to be a very stiff and stable case. On a side note, I've been watching the 1989 Batman for the first time during this post, Personally this is the best one so far

So this is my bump, and an update since I haven't really been doing much on here other then lurking in the demotivational thread. But I started working at target, so this mod will have a well founded owner now. well enough to get things when there needed. going to pick up some, aluminum panels at some point, this could turn in to a sort of scratch build. hope you all are still interested I know there is some pretty nice looking mods being worked on on here. best of luck to every one, and I'm sure I'll have an update soon.

I think you should keep with what you have, iv not seen a case shrink before so if you can pull if off it would quite a feat! Looks good so far, and i love the animated pic, like something off morph (or what ever its called).

Shrinking a case is never easy but this idea looks well thought out.
Snuck in while I was dominating "Guess the Car" you did. Sorry about the catchup.

Well when i say scratch, I just mean making custom hard drive racks/drive cages. but i shouldn't need to do to much with that... I kinda find it funner to work with whats already there.. if i could do this with out any out side material that would be interesting.

This is a nice little mod, quite inspiring for my currently disassembled case and future mod
