hey guys, i am wanting some help with trying to decide the following >>

go with some coloured tygon tubing and non conductive dye

go with clear tygon tubing and coloured non-conductive water

becuase i have never water cooled before i am to nervous to water cool with de ionized water so i have been looking at

fluidxp extreme and innovatech ip protect,

or shall i just use de-ioinized and some zerex/uv dye :naughty:

    please help me out

    cheers all

also on the note of radiators, would i see an improvement from a double rad (Black ice extreme stealth) to a double Thermochill PA radiator?

just i have heard lots of people raving about them.

    my system will be

    Intell E6600 (xeon 3060)
    X1900XTX

and possibly a north chip cooler

You cannot use dyes with Fluidxp or Innovatek IP protect AFAIK.

If you want to use a dye, you'll have to use de-ionised water with 5% Zerex.

Whether you want to use coloured tubing with colourless coolant, or clear tubing with dye in the coolant is basically down to your personal preference.

As for the rads, I don't think there will be an appreciable difference. Both are very good.

Yeah, I'd just use destilled water tbh.

I see in another thread I just replied to you were thinking of using fluorinet.
I believe Nexxo uses it in his loop (or did) so he may be able to offer opinions on it (which I'd be interested in reading too).

One thing is, though it may seem like a great idea to use fluorinert for the first loop so you don't fry anything, its probably not a great idea.

    Reasons being:-
its really expensive and evaporates like crazy so any leaks due to inexperience etc will be costly.
It finds small leaks much easier than water (due to lower viscosity IIRC).
If you do a good leak test with water you will be safe enough.
Even if you do leak during your test nothing should be damaged if you dry it out completely. :)
