Or you could tell him to get a Taisol 760, probably the best value HSF around!:dude: It's got a great reputation and would be a good bet!

well, just looked at the taisol, its rated upto XP2000+ so it should be fine with him.

Temps are very hard to estimate, as there are extremely reliant on the rest of a system and its cooling! Suffice to say that with adequate case cooling and airflow it should be fine. Perhaps some people using the Taisol now could give you some of their temps (hint hint guys!);)

Oh, and another thing, the Coolermaster is on Isaac's list of Dangerous Heatsinks so you might want to definitely talk him out of that one!;)

I'd buy a cheap CM Alu heatsink for the time being. Save up enuff money to get an Alpha. Coz once u have experience the awksome quality of this heatsink you'll never settle for anything less!

Just incase you werent aware http://www.coolcasemods.com/ sells the Alpha cheaper than anywhere else (assuming you are in the UK) since they bundle a YSTech coloured fan with it. It works out to be better value/performance than a CM HCC001 ;)

yea, i was aware of that.

he still hasnt got £40 + p&p for a cooler.

he was getting the coolermaster for £20.

£20 inc p&p is his limit.

Taisol best he can do ?

    thanks,

Right, its out of 3 coolers.

    1) GlobalWin SAK38.
    2) Coolermaster DP5-6I31C.
    3) Taisol 760.

    All are rated upto XP2000+

place your votes now, 1, 2 or 3!

    3.

The SAK38, while a good heatsink, uses than damn delta fan.....The coolermaster is another faceless oem coolermaster heatsink, and the Taisol is the business.
