Now this is now damn sexy The original Cosmos was a classic piece of design, with its iconic handles and brushed aluminium side panels – it remains a firm KitGuru favourite. Although companies like Scan have had a V2 for a while, it’s been more a case of ‘clever marketing’ rather than advanced access to the new stuff. The Cosmos 2 is a monster of a case – building on the existing design elements – but evolved to the latest materials and thinking. It’s looking to be a great choice for high-end workstation builds. The Trooper looks exactly how you would expect. Strong features – evolved from the HAF side of the family – but with a tough rubberised exterior and an integrated carry handle that, for once, actually adds to the design. It’s plenty strong enough to pick up and throw around from LAN to LAN – which is exactly what it has been designed for. KitGuru says: Sources inside the Cooler Master booth confirmed that both designs will be in stores in time for Christmas. We anticipate the Trooper being around the £100 mark with the Cosmos 2 closer to £149.
I just hope it goes the right way, and doesn't become almost...Alienware-ish. The Cosmos S I thought was rather gorgeous, aggressive yet classy, the original was a bit dull though (*ducks for cover* ). I wanna see more pics first Sent from my Desire HD using Tapatalk
My Cosmos S was a brilliant case, just needed some updates like better hard drive system, SSD support, better air cooling and cable routing.
Anyone notice how small 3 x 580GTXs look in that case? That's one seriously big mother, atleast in 800D territory, if not even bigger. Looks nice though.
Seeing how this thing will only become available next autumn, I believe you're referring to older Cosmos models?
Unfortunately the yellow one isn't a standard retail edition, it's had a custom paintjob. I'm just reading the buildlog of their monster pc here: http://www.maximumpc.com/article/features/dream_machine_2011_how_we_created_best_pc_ever?page=0,1. Seems the lucky ******* managed to grab a pre-production model.
shame that its a custom paint job, looks bloody amazing in yellow, I would buy one in a heart beat if it was that colour standard. Also looks from counting it will have 10! PCI slots, INSANE! and support XL - ATX and ATX Motherboards, I wonder I could squeeze all my watercooling gubbins into one of these instead of a Xigmatek Elysium
Cracking looking case. I have a Cosmos Pure Black but the cable roputing through the back is abysmal. I love the case but anything wider than a fan cable and it pops the back panel off. Hopefully they have sorted that in the new version.
