    Hello All,

Well today was bored because i didnt have collage so i came up with this!

I nipped up to my local PCWORLD and brought a standard 80mm Case Fan, then Went to Maplins and brought a Battery Clip for 9V batts.

I then Cut of the 4pin molex connector that came with the fan, and soldered on the batt clip :

I then Attached Zip Ties through the holes on 1 side of the fan like so :

i think you can guess the rest, but i will say ayway, i then slid the zip ties over the rear body posts and mounted it over the Motor, The motor is a new 1 i got today so its still got bullet connectors on it.

Then i suddenly remembered that i forgot to buy a 9v battery when i went out,so out i went again to buy 1, i then decided to mount it next to my Esc on my ESC mount :

and here it is from another Angle :

This May seem a little over the top, but for me it works well, it cools down the motor very fast. I race my Trucks in the south-east at 4 tracks through out the year and its really competive, so whatever gives me the upper hand in cooling is good! i ran the truck today with it on and the motor was relatively cool to the touch after a full batt pack.

Tell me What you think as always!

    Cheers,

    Chris

Yeah, you can buy NEON strips, number plates and lights for them, just coat the underside with Neon Strips! would glow like crazy! RC is my other HUGE hobby

you can also get stuff like brake lights (they come on when you're braking) and I once saw a big 1/5 scale car with ABS disc brakes on all 4 wheels :eeek:

hehehehe I have some friends that are into RC cars and those dam things will FLY!!! Only one guy has a nitro car, but it's a 4WD off road truck. The truck rocks though, we have lotsa fun chasing dogs and cats with it. They all have electric powered racers though. I think the super touring look is the best. :D:D:D:D

first step: heatsinks + aircooling (turbo)

next step: H2O + TEC (supercharged)

a bit later..: Prometeia phase change cooled R/C (NOS)

    muaahhahah :naughty: :hehe:

Why not just actually use NOS? I'm sure a good heatsink and fan would cool it fine.

Wouldn't CO2 be cheaper than NOS?

I thought you were talking about using NOS or CO2 to cool his motor = electrical. An electric motor not being a combustion engine does not benefit from NOS or anything like that.. only the cooling aspect which is what I thought we were talking about.
