    I have just moved my system from my globalwin extreme-xs case (4 x 120mm & 2 x 80mm fans) into my new (secondhand) coolermaster 201 (4 x 80mm fans). I have a xp1600 which is not unlocked running at 1750Mhz 166x10.5

Needless to say there has been some increase in case and cpu temp, from 23sys/44cpu idle & 25sys/51cpu heavy load (gloablwin) - to - 27sys/51cpu idle & 31sys/57cpu heavy load (coolermaster)

The case fans are standard (I believe) and are attached to a fanbus (12v/7v/off), I was wondering if it'd be worth fitting higher powered fans which could be switched between 7v/12v as and when to control noise and tempretaure.

I can't really tell any difference in the current fans noise level between 7v/12v at the moment, would the difference be more noticeable with higher powered fans?

Thanks in advance for the help :)

How loud are those fans on 7v? Are they comparable to a standardish 80mm. They're like a tornado at full speed by all accounts
