Windows copying dvds takeing up space on my hd???help plz

    ok i copied some of my DVD's for backups but every time i do it with dvd decoder and dvd shrink it takes more space away from my HD but i went back deleted the file that it put it in to do my editing. now what the hell y is it still takeing space up on my computers HD????? plz help :wallbash:

    Temp files?

    Download glock temp cleaner and see what that does.

    Was what I was gonna say, there are some good freeware temporary files removers available. :search:

    Disc cleanup might do the job, what I wouldn't use it, its too bloody slow.

    you dont necessarily need to use twice the disc space. use dvd shrink to compress/make it into an ISO. Then use Nero, etc.. to burn it. Only uses about 4.7 gigs rather that 9 (the way you are doing it.) Normally they shouldnt be in the temp directory unless you specify thats where you want to save it. I would try defragmenting your drive.

    thanks for the hlep i uninstalled a game and reinstalled it and i restarted and it showed up again with the right space free. thanks :thumb:

    It could just be a glitch, I once had a 256MB USB Memory Stick that had a file in it that showed up at 21.1GB, it magically expanded from 256MB to more than 20GB! I wish! - It was corrupted.
