I'll be honest this is rapidly becoming my favorite thing ever.... not just mod wise but one of the coolest things I've ever seen someone create. The colors are amazing as well, reminds me of a 57 Chevy
GO BACK TO SCHOOL!!! GET a DESIGN DEGREE! IT'S IN YOU. I'm saying this because i read earlier that you were out of work....i work with designer and i can tell you could do this for living.... I'm one of your biggest fan....hell! i would buy a T-shirt with Attila Ruuullles written on it if you sold one. Congradulation on this clean stylish and one of a kind build and lets not forget the unbelivable craftmanship you put in every build!
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I truly and deeply hate you! There is no way in hell anyone can top this build! Except for you of course! Jawdropping on a higher level!
oh I remember when you made that hdd mount! I'm kind of shell shocked at how awesome this is looking!
Thanks Snowy. I'd love to go back to school but I don't have the time. I'll have get a proper job soon. Haha, hate away mate. But seriously you are far too kind. Yeah, I'm too old to start over. Thank you. Thanks mate. I've been jumping from one task to another lately. Yesterday I changed 32 wires in the PSU and today I started to make the switch assembly. This assembly fits into the nose and is made to resemble some grille work and headlights. One 'headlight' for start and the other for reset. Some LEDs inside for lighting. A piece of 3mm sheet and some styrene are the main materials here. The 'headlights' are made from some 6mm clear plex. I was afraid when I started the first switch that If I drilled and tapped a thread, then the plex would break. But I got the courage up for the second one and I needn't have worried. The difference between the two is about two hours of work and less flexibility with the first one. So the switches will be your standard momentary switches. They need to stick out a little in the center to give something to push. Here are some pics of what this area will look like. Only one 'headlight' fitted here. Please ignore the condition of the body work here. There is still plenty of touching up to do before final paint. I'll continue with this part if I get time tomorrow. My daughter is home on holidays, so I will be busy keeping her entertained.
^ Nice sweet switches. I for 1 & likely many am very very happy to see work in progress rather than sheer perfection this beauty will be without seeing the work in progress, it's that that makes people believe they can get good at making things. If it was all show & tell not many would get inspired & would likely think no can do, I think.
Stunning! I keep seeing this and thnking "what an awesome take on retro 60s muscle cars in an up to date and fresh design" Think 60s Camero vs new Camero. Craft work here is second to none!
