Core2Duo question

    A friend of mine has just built a new system using a MSI P965 Neo board, and the task manager only seems to show one core, and you can't set affinity on tasks etc. It appears to be only using one core. Single threaded apps seem to max it out to 100% (Super Pi etc). On mine, it only goes to 50% on Super Pi.

    are there any available BIOS updates? i cant think of what else might be messing it up.

    We've flashed teh BIOS to latest version (1.8) and it made no difference. Will try the suggestions in the third post.
