    Hi guys,

I want to know if anyone has the new Corsair 650D case. I have currently got the HAF X, which I love, but due to space constraints, I have to get a smaller case. Only had it for a month as well, so I am going to sell it.

Anyway, if anyone has the Corsair 650D, what do you think? I love the overall look of the case, and it seems quite spacious for a mid-tower.

I've been looking for reviews for this case but have only found this one so far -

It could be my next case.

Bit-Tech, please review this case. :D

It does look great. Although there is an issue with the built in fan controller. On a low/med power setting, the fans make a buzzing sound. This is due to the low PWM going to the fans.

Corsair have issued a fan adapter kit to rectify the issue, which can be ordered from them for free.

Food for thought if any of you purchase one :thumb:

I don't understand why everyone are falling in love with the corsair cases. I am far from impressed with their cases, I think they are rubbish.

The 800D had no air intake, it is not the prefect water cooling case, in fact it is far from it as you can only fit a single 120.3 rad in it

It is also has no thought for design, the 800D is quite a bit bigger than the TJ07 but you can fit a lot more hardware and water cooling stuff in the TJ07. Also the 800D is over prised especially considering it is steel compare to the aluminium TJ07

Also the t600 wasn't without its problems either

there are so many better cases out there on the market than corsair, I do feel the corsair cases have potential but they just have to many draw back for me to warrant a purchase.

I would normally agree as I wasn't particularly impressed with the 800D/700D (looked great but had poor cooling) or the 600T (butt ugly with average cooling), but I think this case has great potential. It has the looks of the 800D but much improved airflow, is smaller, and has the same great layout and cable management of all the other Corsair cases. It ticks all the right boxes to make it an awesome case, and I can't see anything seriously wrong with it that I would change.

Are their any reviews out yet? Been looking but can only find the Linus overview video. I do think it's a shame they don't do a version without the window though. Don't know why but I just don't like windowed cases.

Pretty much sums up my thoughts, except I actually like the look of the 600T. I was going to get one, but heard too much negativity about the cooling or more specifically, the fans. I was hoping Corsair would address these issues with the 650D, but we will have to wait and see.

Not going to lie i came close to buying the corsair 600T its looks amazing imo. But it just wasn't big enough for me! But i just fell in love with how it looks. It did look kind of plasticy tho which was another reason for changing my mind.

    Want!

When the 800D came out I was impressed by the quality and features, but wanted it to be a lot smaller. And now it is. Thanks, Corsair! The design is very close to the Silverstone FT01 with its splitting hard drive cage and two large fans (180 mm on the FT), but with that little bit more space.

I love the look of the Corsair cases, nice straight lines with no fiddly bits hanging out for no reason. HAF I'm looking at you and vomiting. LANBOY Air as well *retch*

However, I adore my 800D. So what if it's steel, I'm not lugging it around to LAN's, if I wanted a LAN case, I'd buy a shuttle. Do I want to mod it? Only the side panel and I haven't done that yet as a blank 700D panel shipping is twice the price of the panel itself.... :eyebrow:

Can you get a non windowed panel for the 650D?

I just ordered a 650D...The first time I saw it I just had to have one for my new build!! Only found that one video review on that case though and some forum info from corsair (http://forum.corsair.com/forums/showthread.php?t=93632
Apparently there is only a fault with the fan controller but the new shipments have that fixed and if you get a faulty one you can order the correct one for free from corsair. Should have the case beginning of next week so ill let you guys know whats up :)

Finally got my Corsair 650D delivered today, so here is a couple of (crappy) photos.
I love this case. This replaced my HAF X case and I am very happy with it.

    Couple of points though -

The side panels are quite flimsy and the panel behind the motherboard is hardly a snug fit.
Buzzing on low/med fan controller settings (awaiting fix from Corsair)

This case was fantastic to work in and I am very happy with the final outcome. Looking at ditching the optical drive for an external as it somewhat ruins the look.

I thought that the quality of the side panels was superb, they just don't fit too snuggly to the case itself. also had some problems with the backpanel. Fan controller also slightly buzzy on med/low... how do you order a new on?

Otherwise i LOVE this case!!!

+1 to the optical drive ditching

How much did it cost to get he cable extensions for the PSU so that you could route them all via that back. Mines is a mess just now and i would like to really tidy it up. Just seems pretty expensive for what it is when looking on scan etc for cable extensions.

That looks fantastic mate, great job. To be honest, I was thinking of ditching the drive altogether and using an external drive. However, will this hinder performance?
