has anyone ever cut down one of the sata lines on a corsair 850 psu. just wondering how to cover the end up did think abot some shrink an ideas ???
Not sure what you mean when you say cover up the ends. Are you talking about reducing the length by cutting off the connector on the end?
sry cant find a pic off net but there is 3 sata power conections inline of the main psu plug. The lead is far to long for what i need but i cant alter the last sata power as its a crimp that i dont have. The other conections on the line are for wont of better term push and cut conectors. so i was wondering if i trim the lead or use the first conector cut as close as posible or cut wire and refit sata block would i need to cover / plug the exposed lines that are still showing same type ish sata power
Yeah you would. Pass through connectors just nick the cable to expose enough for them to connect to. Heat shrink or normal electrical tape will do just fine. Personally I would cut the end plug off and rejoin it. I wouldn't cut to close to the connector leave enough cable to be able to rejoin it with out it getting to fiddly.
