Hi, i did a quick search and couldn't seem to come up with anyhting on the topic of the Value select ram.

I Currently have 1 Stick of Corsair Memory Value Select 2GB DDR3 1333Mhz CAS 9 Dual Channel Desktop

    http://www.scan.co.uk/products/2gb-...-10600-(1333)-non-ecc-unbuffered-cas-9-9-9-24

I have had Value select in my Last pc orignal DDR, never had any issues with it, but never O/c, not really planning on O/c atm as PC is doing the job.

What are your thoughts on this ram, im thinking of upping to at least 4gb, but may go the whole hog and buy 3 more sticks upping to 8Gb. worth sticking with the VS stuff or going for something with oc potential? and ebaying the existing stick.

Buy a 4GB dual channel kit. Value select is decent enough, but if you're going to overclock then XMS3 or similar(HyperX, OCZ something, etc, etc) at 1600 is the way to go.

I don't know about the ddr3, but if it's anything like the ddr2 it will overclock like a demon. I had the 667mhz running at 824mhz. I didn't even know it was that high until I was running CPU-z to check an overclocked CPU.

yeah 4GB kits are only 2 single sticks together didint you know lol.

idd just get a second stick of the same stuff for 4GB it will be fine.

ive used the value stuff and its perfectly fine at its rated speed + its life time warraty anyway
