either that, or it cannot detect the ram, which can be a syntom of it being clocked beyond it's limits.
just for your information BH-5 only really likes to run 2-2-2-X timings, it's what it does, and changing them, in most cases (true for mine), makes sod all difference to max fsb. You have to remember that even the mobiles cpu's which in general are great clockers are not guaranteed at 200fsb so you CPU might not like it. How high clock speed wise can you get at your highest stable fsb?
so u are getting the siren ?? if so , this is what happened to me, i could'nt get past 210fsb without hearing it, well take the cpu out and bend the blue thing up just a bit to where when u put the cpu back in it pushes it down, dont know what it is but it works, i went from 210 up to 235 , where my memory crapped out, try it
OK cool. I'll try the temp diode on friday when i get a bit of time to get AS5 all over my bedroom again :S As for voltage, i've tried up to 1.825, and with idle temps of 49*C, I don't think ot would be worth going any higher. (Im 39*C @ 1.725)
You haven't stated the Chipset voltage, AGP/PCI ratio, mem timings and CPU Interface enabled from bios? Let us know the bios settings first
I have tried all variations of BIOS settings that I can think off. That can't be the problem. I think I've just got a bad CPU.
could be anything with the two nf7 setups ive owned in the past it was hard to get stability over 200fsb. Thats with a 1700+ (133fsb) and a 2500 (166fsb) I would suggest its prob ur chip but its a bit of a minefield seeing as ur chip, ram and mobo are all not rated for any more than 200mhz max
