When I built my pc I put my sound card in the pci slot right next to my ge-force 3 with out thinking about the heat now theres only a half inch gap between them. If I moved my sound card to another pci slot would it mess any thing up ? and would i have to reinstall divers ?

If you already had something assigned to that PCI slot before, you will run into problems.

I would recommend uninstalling drivers before you move it though... It might cause problems if you didn't uninstall it first :)

if you are using AGP you shouldnt use the top PCI slot as well, shared IRQs or something.

if you didn't have anything there before then there shouldn't be any problem but you can always try it and if it doesn't work move it back.
