Im going to restart my current project/WIP but before I can start anything, I need to decided on my pump and CPU block.

Firstly, colour scheme - Case is all clear acrylic, with green liquid and then green and UV LED's. Radiators are chromed, as is PSU and DVD drive casing.
    (project link here: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=140123 )

So, I want a CPU block. It needs to be able to take 1/2" ID compression fittings (preferably without extenders or using 45*'s) needs to be a good performer (more concerned by looks than performance though).

I'm currently looking at these three:

    Swiftech GTZ SE

    Watercool Heatkiller 3.0

    Alphacool HF 14 Yellowstone

Now, I like the looks of the HK, and I can nickel/chrome plate it with ease, but I want to know what the top silver bit is made from, wether its aluminium or stainless steel, so do I need to powdercoat it, or anodise it.
The yellowstone has the right looks, but is it any good?
The GTZ SE looks damn cool, but is a bit pricey.

    Secondly, pumps.

Will a DDC 3.2 and an XSPC top be able to go through 2x GTS 240's , 2x GPU blocks and a CPU block, as well as a very restrictive res?

And finally, any ideas on this res design?

my vote is for the Swiftech GTZ SE :)

    it loos damn sexy!

As for the pump it should do that setup no problems to be totally honest you just might see a small drop in flow rate cos of the res.

From what i've heard, the yellowstone isn't that great. RRR seem to dislike it alot or well at least red dose.

I like my ek supreme lt with its acetal top, that might have enough room for 1/2in comps... if not then the heatkiller for sure. I am going to guess that little strip is stainless steel aswell.

That Res looks like a sod for water to flow around it, maybe redesign it so there is a more direct route between the inlet and outlet, the rest would be static coolant in the channels and would look cool.

As a rule from my time on XS with him, I disregard everything RRR says :thumb:

As for the flow killing-ness, its meant to be style over substance, all show and no go etc. :p
