Maybe I'll give mine another run, I wonder why a i5 was beating my score when it was clocked the same as my 930.
Hi Demonstealth, I can actually get the system stable at 3.80 ht on, 3.90 ht on and 4.0ghz ht off but I run it 24/7 at 3.70ghz for the safer temps as I would like the chip to last a long time. - I decided to raise the uncore by 1 multiplier to 3.15ghz while keeping all other settings the same and the final score rose by about 15 points. Don't know why I didn't try this a while ago! Anyway, I spent this morning reinstalling windows for a few reasons and when back up and running I did a 6 loop run of the benchmarks and this was the best of the bunch: Results: Image editing: 1598 points. Video encoding: 2909 points. Multitasking testing: 1635 points. Overall score: 2047 points. BTW some quality scores in this thread especially you guys under water. Manic Gibbon that Q6600 G0 is crying out to be overclocked. Have you not got adequate cooling?
And here we go: Results: Image editing: 437 seconds with 55% average CPU usage. Image editing: 857 points. Video encoding: 939 seconds with 84% average CPU usage. Video encoding: 873 points. Multitasking testing: 284 seconds with 87% average CPU usage. Multitasking testing: 658 points. Overall score: 796 points. Told ya.
Image editing: 1656 points. Video encoding: 2929 points. Multitasking testing: 1639 points. Overall score: 2075 points. Damn thought i'd get higher. Anyone know why using twin screens I get around 35 extra points?
Watching a 980X system tear through these benches three times faster than my computer can do it once was a sight to behold, I tell ya.
Benched my Laptop earlier today - Dell Inspiron 6400, 1.83ghz Core2Duo, 2gb ram average over 3 loops: Image editing: 622 points. Video encoding: 639 points. Multitasking testing: 431 points. Overall score: 564 points. Also ran FurMark on my 5770's CrossFireX - 900mhz core - 1300mhz (5200mhz) mem. What's up with the resolution, supposed to be 1024x768!!
There's nothing specific in the benchmark to take advantage of multiple displays. To be honest though, +/- 35 points when your score is already in the region of 2,000 points is within the margin of error between runs.
hmm thats what i thought if anything I would of said that having another display would reduce the score if anything. Ill give it a few more goes and see what it does or see if I can get it higher
This is the third loop result of my 922 @4011.1 MHz (It's default overclock) It's even more pleasing as its a new personal best @4GHz since I revamped the loop with new fans and coolant.
had to take off my overclock due to tempreture problems i am using a 775 water block on a 1156 board so i can only use 3 mounting poles rather than 4 so no good contact on cpu so only 1538 points overall i am getting a new water block very soon so will be able to do a comparisson with my new water block but till then
Gah! Huge score. Niiiice. Okay, now get a 980X and make me even more jealous. And send me the 930. >.>
Average results over 3 loops (0 failed loops): Image editing: 212 seconds with 10% average CPU usage. Image editing: 1769 points. Video encoding: 208 seconds with 25% average CPU usage. Video encoding: 3938 points. Multitasking testing: 113 seconds with 14% average CPU usage. Multitasking testing: 1648 points. Overall score: 2452 points. With a 4.1 oc. Very ruff OC though needs tweeking and i think it could do better. So much wasted head room and temps just pushing low 40's
