Modding cpu and heatsink cleaning solution

    hey guys


    anyone know of some cpu and heatsink cleaning solution that cleans off old thermal paste etc.

    i found an akasa branded one but was wondering if there is any others.
    if i wanted to do it myself with the akasa solution how should i go about it and what stuff do i need?

    I use nail polish remover, which gets it off pretty easily. Not sure how safe it is with components though :worried:

    i've used this... but 90% alcohol from your local drug store works fine...

    I just use Isopropyl Alcohol, the stuff that people use to use to clean the heads in their good old tape decks.

    I got mine for something silly like 80p by going into a chemist and asking nicely ;)
