Hello, I'm looking to build a computer for a friend of mine going off to college. The budget is right around $1800 (yea I'm in the US). It's somewhat flexible but it would be nice to get it around that amount. Anyway, I've been out of the loop lately and haven't been keeping up with all the latest that's out there. It won't be used for gaming or anything incredibly intensive. I'm looking for the most I can get keeping the budget in mind. With all the new CPU news going around, what should I do? I'm really just stuck on a motherboard and CPU combination. The rest I can handle on my own. With that said, I don't think the absolute fastest is completely necessary, but I would like something that is going to last a while. I suppose I'll sacrifice some performance, but I would prefer it be relatively fast (she isn't the most patient person). Any help is appreciated, thanks.
