    VERY quiet drives but....

not only is it annoyingly quiet but aparently the system that limits the noise also affects the performance.

Found a hack for this the other day but not tried it yet, take a look at http://www.overclockersrip.com/articles/maxtor.shtml

    I got that board

Hey stewe I got that board the ECS K7VZA, I now have my lovely abit kT7A but I do believe you can overclock on it cos I cud get my duron 800 up to 896 (ok not much overclock but i wasn't looking for an ocing board at that time) The option isn't in anything abvious but if you have a look through ur bios you should find it. Good Luck

If you ever see the main controller on a supercomputer you will notice it sits in liquid nitrogen, all the circuits. This is because superconductors are needed as the trhoughput is massive.

Max temp on a 1.2 T-Bird is not 70. I used to overclock to 1.45 with a Dragon Orb 3, and it worked just fine to temps up to 76-77... With my watercooling kit im down to 50 (and thats cos i got a bad in flow, and its always hot in my room.)
