What is the average CPU temperature for a normal home pc plz? The reason I ask is that I have just installed a new CPU cooler and was wondering if it is doing what it’s supposed to do! cheers!
Temps really depend on a number of factors, namely what type it is, what voltage it runs at, and other smaller factors such as thermal paste application and mounting pressure. A the best air coolers will bring temps down to around 30 degrees C, but it is more likely that air cooling will give resuls between 35 and 45 C. As long as your temps are under 60C then you have nothing to worry about. -OMP
Ok thanks! Well I just installed the coolermaster jet7 which is bringing the temp to about 33C. Does any one know a program that will record my CPU temp over an amount of time?
speed fan wont record it but it will display a gragh along with other readings. out of curiousity what processor are u running

MBM records the temp over time? Hmm... I should find that feature. I know it does the high/low/current/average but never knew that. Is it the interval log featue?
