    Hi all,

So I've installed my heatsink, PC is running smoothly, but the only way it's running it with the stock fan plugged into CPUFAN1 socket, and if its not the PC will not stay on for more than 4 seconds.

I have no need for this socket, but as it's detecting there is no fan connected to it, it shuts down.

I also cannot plug any fans into it as it's a 4 pin connection, and all my fans are 3 pins.

    The mobo is AW9D Max.

    TIA

Use the uGuru utility and disable the auto shutdown if low RPM is sensed from the CPU fan. Look on page 3-7 on the BIOS Setup in the motherboard manual.

you'll also find that a 3-pin fan plug fits perfectly onto the 4-pin header.
