i was thinking about this today. You know why ? Because the ad selling ringtones was on EVERY SET OF ADVERTS. EVERY. BREAK. HE WAS THERE! I even considered making a petition today to get him banned from the UK - But im not good enough at getting people behind stuff like that and it was a bit ott perhaps! I was actually at a pub once, and they put it on the sound system... Outrage spread faster than bad news and it was shortly after when it was turned off! It was funny when it was a sound byte, and it was funny when it became a racing car, now its a frog, A FROG FOREVER! :'(
some kid at a shcool i was doing a visit on had it on a phone that went off. WENT OFF WHILST I WAS TALKING. I was chatting to a teacher who said how effective if maybe scaring the child for life my method of dealing with school kids who's mobiles go off is. Now this kid was in the highest set for science that school had, such a shame. Is there a law that means we can roast the jamster people at the stake for crimes against sainity? (and then get ITV for that, i mean jinkies, thats become so lowest common denominator lately. well as long as we have CH4 news i'm not emigrating).
The main thing that bugs me about this, is that ITV and other half decent channels, are playing the adverts. For me, this is crap, and something to only be expected by MTV etc. Tbh, I though ITV had sense, and enough money.
this is one of the main reasons why i no longer watch TV and why such channels should not be allowed on in public places. Sport in a pub yes, the FROG or a music channel...NO

Isnt this like that stupid Jamster ring tone banner that magically plays its crap all by itself without user interaction? You're on a website, just reading then all of a sudden you hear this crap and cant figure out where its playing from. You scroll up, there's a *&@^#$*&^*&$ jamster ring tone advert.

OH YES, YOU WAIT! I can see it now. You'll be sitting in your living room, aware of the chaos its already causing in the UK but happy it isnt there. Then all of a sudden, a mobile phone ad pops up on the TV - Some stupid frog, whats he doing ? then, it starts, "a ring ding idng idng ding. ding". And you die a little inside, because YOU KNOW - every ad break, of every hour, of every day, of every week, of every month, for the next frikken 4 MONTHS OF YOUR LIFE, your going to hear not once, not twice BUT THREE TIMES, the innane "ring ding ding" of the frog. Maybe one in ten times, you'll be happy to heard a stupid ****ing little hell damned bird tweeting, BUT SOON thats kills you inside too! Turn off your TV's in protest people! Get your pitch forks and torches. Lets find the beasts who put this stuff on the air and go 1300 witch hunt on their asses. edit: by the way, im very serious about this. The people selling this crap is doing the world a bigger dis-service the the US Judicial system! We shouldnt have tostand for this crap in a modern society! ITS JUST. NOT.
