Hi Great website First sorry for my English I hope that it doesn´t make problems for understand the mean. I´m trying to make a HTPC case for my self and I have met one problem. I would like use buttons multimedia (like play, reward, etc..) and wheels for up and down the volumen. I tried found some example surfing in internet but I couldn´t find. It´s true that some devices represent the idea that I want to use in this HTPC, like for example this one ( http://www.soundgraph.com/Eng_/Products/imon26.aspx ) but it doesn´t respect how do I want to looks the panel but it is good for that the surfers understand the idea. So I wonder if you found some idea about how to conect the buttons to the main board and how configurat it, please let me know because I became crazy. Thank´s a lot.
I would love a reward button on my computer! I think that using a 5.25" device to manage all of your media is going to be the easiest way to get what you want. I think Antec do one and so do several other companies. They normally come with the appropriate software so that it can be properly integrated into Windows Media Centre for example. Also there's no reason why you cant mod the device to how you want it to look anyway. Hope that helps.
I ve seen winamp controllers using the Com port like this. If you find the right program online you could maybe use it with other programs like vlc or something. It always depends on what kind of software you want to control.
