    Like your article implied, the very idea of patenting an "artist/album/song" arrangement is bloody stupid. I'm absolutely positive that someone will have organised their music collection this way beforehand, so why should Creative be allowed to profit from it?

    Oh, and I am an iPod owner, but I don't think that affects my opinion here.

    I do own a Zen but this is plain daft. Long before creative made this system for their portable mp3 players I was organising my CD's this way on my HDD.
    Patents just seem to be getting more and more out of hand :(

    Whilst patent is daft - glad it was Apple that got "pipped" to the post - after all they like playing the heavy with the suits when people dare run OSx-86 on non apple hardware.. etc.

    I may just be confused, but I heard it was Microsoft not Creative that got the patent for the MP3 player interface.

    While I shake my head in despair at the whole stupidness of these claims, I blame the Judges and Lawyers for actually entertaining them in the first place. If Judges told them where to go in the first place then we wouldn't have this escalating silliness.
