Creative have managed to gain a patent based on the way you navigate to a track, this has got to be one of the craziest things I've heard.
How the hell can you patent the order in which you click to get to a file on a music storage device ??

Patents seem to be exploited all the time these days it's not to protect your product ideas from being used.

The people at the Patenting office or whatever it's called need a brain check.

    lol...

It isn't going well with the iPod... First they have to pay patent rights to Microsoft, and now to Creative... **Starts to wonder what's original on an iPod :) **

But yes, in the IT sector patents are quite useless... **why can't everything be Open-Source**

Well it's kind of like why can't everyone be nice and share. Because not everyone is nice and people are greedy.

That's the lamest thing I've ever heard. Jess.... wonder how much I have to pay because that's how m desktop harddrive has my music sorted. Hmmm.... maybe I can sort by bit rate, song length, then number of music instruments. That's should keep me out of hot water.
