I suppose it's more intelligent then bathing in a tank of sharks, but what on earth do this people think? What was the croc actually trying to say to the man and his mother? http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/wor...s-Bangladesh-man-who-sought-its-blessing.html
Eh, it's their way of life, don't diss it. Nowadays most of us wonder how people ever could have thought the world was flat.
I'm guessing the croc said "what do you think you're doing in my pool?" and then said to the mother "thanks for lunch bring your daughter round for dessert " and it's *these* not "this", but i'd say that it was damn stupid, not as intelligent as swimming with sharks.
should have taken a few chickens along to give to them before he went in.... But hey, anyone who gets outta that pool without being eaten is going to feel blessed!
Fail. I've actually been waiting for this (rather unfortunate) event to happen. When I saw the shrine of Khan Jahan Ali (modgodtanvir aged 7) I was perplexed by the stupidity of the idea of going to swim with crocodiles in order to gain their blessing... In fact at the time, my father and I laughed about it until we had stitches
My wife and I discussed this and she said that he should have waited until the local villagers and pilgrims had already fed the crocs their chickens for breakfast - that first thing in the morning routine was not a good idea. Then, she corrected herself and said, "unless it's cold outside and they're sluggish." She remembered going down to Florida , as a kid, in Dec/Jan, and the alligator wrestler that they went to see was having the worst time getting the gator to do anything. We laughed and said that maybe that time of year was gator wrestling season.
I think this sums up the healthiest, most balanced approach to faith: worship creation, but accept its nature. A croc is still a croc. Or: trust in God, but use the common sense He gave you.
The saddest thing is that the worship of crocodiles completely contradicts the religion which they follow...
