well if you first tried going to the ati website, i know incredibly obscure at http://www.ati.com, you will find a nice flash count down near the bottom, that is the countdown for crossfire. I like the speed equation they put underneath. brings the whole presentation of it up a notch.

Ati was supposed to have everything ready yesterday. But hey, now that they found out the CF chip reckons on a 1m link cable and not a shorter one. Plus the fact that due this minor error the max 60 hz rate is a big downer for the CRT users.

And they are just soooo slow. I've always hated the making of deadlines and just not producing accordingly. I mean. Sue them! or just don't leak those bs dates out like august July. The first R520 is scheduled for mid-oktober ffs.

This all pissed me so off I, as a ATI fanboy, am really interested in the nVIdia 7800-series. I had the money for a X850XT CF setup back in august, now I like The Asus 7800GT 'Blue Led Edition' especially :D (10% less speed than the 7800GTX is no big deal.) And SM3.0 for Age of Empires 3 ofcourse :hehe:

good job ati! missed some major bucks from me!

(I'm not saying i'm not a sucker for two X850XT/X1800XT in CF mode, it's just that Ati lags behind right now. Just like Nvidia did around the 9800-series.) I'm visiting the hardware.info days here in The Netherlands to hopefully see a crossfire setup in action!
