I was wondering, is there any limitation on the chipset that cable-less crossfire can run on? Is it compatible with P965, 975X, Xpress200 CF, Xpress1600 CF, and Xpress3200 CF chipsets?

Well I'd like to know this also I know that Xpress200 and Xpress1600 (same chipset just renamed) Do Not work with cable-less crossfire but the Xpress3200 deffinately supports Cable less crossfire. haven't a clue on the 965's or 975's though it may work but you'd be left with a 8x8 or 16x4 pci-e lane config with a 975 or 965.

on the 965 you get a 16lane and a 4lane. the book i had with (the very faulty) msi p965 platinum said this quite clearly. im pretty sure the 975x supports two 8x lanes so is the one to go for

But do either support cable-less crossfire? And why does the Xpress200/1600 not support it?
