OK so I rebuilt my PC. It powered on OK, put in all the hardware. Now it just keeps booting into bios. I've set everything to auto and left everything alone, but still it persists on booting into the EFI. I've set it to boot from the RAID controller (for the Revodrive) but it just continually keeps going back into bios and is not booting from any drives. WTF is going on?
Is it even seeing any drives? Seems odd that it isn't attempting to boot into windows at all. Sent from my GT-I9100 using Tapatalk 4
It's seeing all of the drives and I can boot from it but it's just a PITA. So I have to go to Boot Override then pick my Revo, then it boots. Edit. And I've got my Revo showing along with all of my other drives. Other than that? well it's a great board lmfao. 5GHZ club yay !
It's all fine. I'm beginning to wonder if it's one of the switches on the board tbh. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1340792? I'll put back 5ghz in a minute, but just got through 3dmark on 4.85ghz :O This board is insane !
You must have a really good chip. Never sell it. Ever lol. On a serious note its nice to see something's going right for you. P.S. I'm really jealous of your rig. I'm getting that board as soon as I can. Now go do 5.5 lol
5ghz desktop stable only, boo lmao. Even with 1.47v and an idle of 54c (insane). 4.85 is pretty stable both desktop and 3dmark. Time to try some other stuff
Right so with everything installed I am still having this issue. I have set the boot priority in bios to my Revodrive. It clearly shows the SIL device. I have disabled every other boot option, leaving it with one. Yet still the only way I can boot the PC is to go through the bios and select my drive from the list of force boot. Bindi. Can you please tell me why this is happening? it's starting to get annoying now. Every time I boot or reboot I have to mess around navigating the bios. Any idea why the board would boot to bios without being told to?
C5F or C5FZ? The -Z has the DirectKey button on it that makes it go straight into the BIOS - check it's not permanently pressed or something. We've had Revo compatibility issues with Maximus series before because they don't conform to particular PCIe specs, although I don't know if it's to do with one model or many, and this is the first I've heard of this persistent BIOS issue on AMD.
