Crucial Technology, The guys better known for memory rather than graphics cards have announced a Radeon X850 XT based part that has 256MB of their Ballistix DDR2 memory.

The card will have a PCIe 16X interface (16 parallel pixel pipeline), a 256-bit quad-channel GDDR3 memory interface and power-throttling technology for a cooler running temperature

Mike Sanor, Crucial's Technical Support Manager had this to day about the new card:

"We’re in the midst of what could be described as a high-end PC revolution, If you combine the latest hardware options, such as DDR2-based LGA 775 motherboards, Serial ATA architecture for increased hard drive throughput and powerful PCI Express graphics cards like the Crucial RADEON X850 XT, you can remove the data-transfer bottlenecks that have traditionally held back gaming-system performance. You can create a speedy, revolutionary gaming PC."

The Crucial RADEON X850 XT is currently priced at US$599.99. The card can be purchased from Crucial direct at their website at www.crucial.com and comes with a limited one-year warranty.
