Storage Crucial M4 firmware update to 040H with UEFI BIOS

    I have a 512 M4 and a RIVE X79

    I found that Crucial's auto update software didn't see / recognise my M4 SSD - and assumed it was because I'm running a UEFI BIOS.

    I was trying to update from 0309 to 040H.

    However, if you run the updater (it pops us with a message that you don't have an SSD), then choose the button "see licence", then continue - it updates !

    WARNING - do this at your own peril.

    Yep confirmed this method also for me.

    just click continue get reset then finds drives anyway.
