That's an incredibly thin fan. I would say it'd be good for push-pull on rads when space is tight, but being so thin i doubt the static pressure would be that good.

Yeah, I noticed it's 13mm thickness. My guess is combined with the 25mm fan in middle it will do a good job.

Very nice design, I like it a lot.

It would look right at home in a Deus Ex casemod.

Looks like the slim fan and heatpipe design are meant to keep the cooler clear of tall memory modules, which is a problem for some of the top performers (Silver Arrow, NH-D14, etc).

Still too tall for my case though!

Need bit tech to get one and compare it to the notcua DH-14, phanteks ph-tc14pe, and the silver arrow. As i think at the moment they are the leading air coolers?

My current favorite is the phanteks ph-tc14pe, if i was to get rid of my h100 and downsize cases i would get the phanteks..be interesting to see how this cryorig holds up.

BitFenix Shinobi, manufacturer claims 159.5mm clearance. That's a little bit too small for most of the top-end air coolers. I wanted a good-looking ATX case with plenty of fan mounts, so bought it without thinking things through. Sadly, the clearance for mounting radiators sucks as well, so no water cooling without major modding. C'est la vie :sigh:

Anyway, look forward to seeing how it performs in the reviews.

I heard there are two R1 models:
CRYORIG R1 Ultimate with black shrouds and 2x XF140 fans (25mm thick)
CRYORIG R1 Universal with white shrouds and one XF140 fan (25mm thick) & one XT140 fan (13mm thick)

    Sneak preview

They're also releasing 140mm fans separately. I like.

Had an early Christmas present! CRYORIG R1 Ultimate showed up late yesterday so decided to post a few pics. Very good first impression!

Would be nice to have a 9590 to test it with. :D
My gut feeling is it will cool as well as any.. I'm hoping better. I'm planning to OC my 920 for R1 Ultimate. Than run Silver Arrow SB-E and TC14PE to see how they compare. :thumb:
