    Wow, an actual demo being released? From a big publisher/developer? I are shock!

    These days that's almost unheard of! Well done EA/Crytek.

    8GB demo. 16GB game. Render Farm as minimum requirements. Disney Pixar farm as recommended requirements.

    This is good news, primarily because now the people who would've pirated the full game just to run benchmarks can use the demo instead; saving us from ******** excuses and whining by Crytek... Oh wait.

    In seriousness though, this IS good news. It's nice to see a PC demo release for a big title even if it is just because we bitched enough about the prior lack of one.

    Meh...From the feedback given from the 360 demo, my rage subsided. Im still cynical.

    Is it a evil ploy to draw attention away from said lackluster 360 demo. Are we going to get it more than a couple of days in advance of the actual release. And am i just a moaning git.

    At least one of the above statements is correct.

    Doh! This. I forgot that this was a multiplayer demo. I wish we could see just a little less emphasis on multiplayer in shooters these days..

    When I actually think about it I cant remember the last time I downloaded a demo of a PC game. Sure I've downloaded beta clients for MMO's but dont think that counts!

    From what I've seen of the 360 demo, this game more resembles CoD than it does Crysis 1 :sigh:

    If only...at least i would take that as a sign of it actually being developed for the PC as the primary platform, instead of the gimped DX9 kiddie console crap we will end up with.....

    can't wait for this to run like crap on my 260 despite the fact that it will also look like crap (low details)

    Crysis 1 is still unplayable (for me) on a 260 so my hopes aren't really high

    EDIT: although I did forget about a hundred times to try out Gunsmith's config file

    I had the first Crysis running on my 3Ghz AMD system wih Nvidia 8600GT on medium settings and was perfectly playable at least until the anti-grav section in the mountain where frame rates struggled a little and then upon exit and all the beasts swarming around, dropped a couple of settings till I got past that then returned to medium right through to the end and it looked great and played just fine.
