Windows Crysis 3

Was that at Game City, notts? Did you manage to play it on a PC or console?

 

Only being played on Xbox 360 dev units and it's the same pre-alpha code that was shown off at Gamescom in August. 4 month old cold according to one of the multiplayer devs

 

Ah ok, cheers. I've been thinking about checking out Game City this year, just gotta find out exactly what there is to see and when...

Several of the Crytek guys blame EA. I agree. Such a shame crysis wasn't published by another company IMO

 

that would explain Yerli's statement saying they were going F2P only, I'm guessing it was to try and break away from EA

 

I played this at Eurogamer and didn't really enjoy it - maybe because I was playing it on the Xbox and I am used to the hardcore keyboard and mice combo. There was too much going on when I was playing it.

 

Yeah anything other than EA.

 

This looks very similar to Crysis 2 unfortunately. Not that Crysis 2 was bad, but I don't want a rehash.

I think it is a awesome idea, I can imagine the games getting very intense. Gunsmith could have fun with the noobs? (I can hear his evil laughter now)

 

Hmm, I dunno. Crytek aren't owned by EA - they're just a developer working with a publisher. ME3, BF3 etc, sure are EA, but Crytek/Crysis ain't.

 

not outright but it explains how crytek were able to expand their business viciously 12 months before C2's release.

Played around with the multiplayer a bit (will upload a vid soon, for some reason some of the audio keeps going out of sync)

It's fairly similar to the Crysis 2 mp, just murkier and less clear. (there are a few changes, like armour mode no longer taking suit power until you get hit)

The levels are really nicely designed.

 

Played the Crysis 3 multiplayer alpha earlier, it looks amazing.
