    sure enough things are cool off and i slip across the road into the school playground, there are a few KPA behind the wall to my left so i take the opportunity to snipe 2 of them, a 3rd leaps through a damaged section of the wall and meets the butt end of my FY, on my way to the school yard i spot a KPA on the roof, hes facing away from me so hes not a critical target but still its one less to deal with if the **** its the fan.

    with him down i head towards the side entrance to the school and switch back to my FY and silencer it before heading inside under cloak.

    one KPA coming down the stairs slowly and another in a room to my left, i take out the one on the stairs with my FY but his death cry brings out the one in the room

    this fool has a shotgun and hes a really **** shot with it, he fires and misses me at a range of 5 ft, not giving him chance to try again i grab him by the throat and pull him in the toilet where i smash his face off the porcelain god, i check out the room he came from, lots of ammo and goodies! :D i stock up one everything until i can carry no more and leave.

    it appears el' shitshot's shotgun has brought curious george. I feel like being a ******* so i cloak right up to his face before revealing my murderous intent. curious George shits a banana before i plant him into the desk to my right.

    i can hear a KPA inside talking to one of the hostages, just as I'm about to enter Psycho joins me being a northerner he specialises in a bit of "breaking and entering with intent fo commit GBH" we bust in, Psycho takes out the KPA before we meet out hostage, it seems that shes actually CIA and that they've been monitoring the head of the archeology team for quite some time, apparently hes discovered something that could possibly be the remains of a dead civilisation, it lead them to a massive structure in the mountain before the Koreans decided to drop by and claim baggsie, she managed to escape with another of the team called Badowski but "something" found them and killed him. she barely made it out alive before being captured by the KPA, oh well 1 dead, 1 found, 3 to go. prophet is back on the horn again, apparently we got KPA armor incoming. :(

    i race to the roof where I'm caught off guard by a KPA waiting for me, i manage to take him out before he can do any lasting damage, i spot the tank coming in from the east and open fire on it with my rocket launcher, there are only 3 shots in each launcher so i gotta make em count, 2 shots hit but I'm shot at by some KPA in the huts to the back of the school yard and the 3rd missile misses, I'll deal with the KPA later but right now i gotta get that tank, i race down stairs back to the room where all there toys are to find a few rocket launchers left, i gotta make these count or I'm in trouble.

    ****, the tank knows im in the school building is is racing towards it, my heart is racing, these things only have to get a near hit and its all over, i dive into the classroom hoping that this idea of mine will work, cloaking i wait for it to pass.

    the tank HAS to make the turning at the end of the school so it slows down, i fire through the window hitting it straight in the ribs! **** YEAH ITS DEAD!

    now for the other one, i got 2 shots left and looking by the radar its by the gas station, i head back to the roof to get another shot off. on my way up i notice this door open on the second floor. i have a semi clear line of sight to the tank, crouching i let off a missile and guide it through the railings.

    BOOM IT HITS! i got one shot left in the launcher, i take aim as the tank driver throws it in reverse, crap i cant get clear shot!

    TO THE ROOF!
    i race back uptairs on the virge of asphixiation as the tank fires a shell into the side of the school building, the sound feels louder and more vicious then i remember ive never been this terrified, reaching the roof i leap atop of the stairwell and cloak, its hiding in the trees below and i cant see it. every second waiting for it to reveal itself is agonizing, ive got no cover up here and completly exposed. theres nothing to catch me with splash damage up here so im relitivly safe...i think :worried:

    AHA! GOTCHA! with the launcher empty i drop back down and race downstairs to the ammo room, another shell hits the building as im decending the stairs, hes more pissed then ever.

    2 launchers left so that's 6 rockets in total to kill it, plenty of ammo. switching to speed i quickly prep the launcher before slinging it over my back, and heading out of the school into the schoolyard (its quicker to run with a normal weapon equipped or without a weapon at all in your hands).

    looks like there was a KPA i hadn't killed, the tension is so taught that i literally tell him to piss off as a i open fire with the FY, this perma death thing is pretty engrossing it feels as tho i am actually in a life or death situation.

    the tank spots me and opens fire with its main gun, it hits the shack in front of me pretty much destroying my plan of attacking from atop it, i look for cover, the only thing ive got is a green wheelie bin, which is hardly what id call cover.

    the tank rumbles into view between the shack remains and the wall, its main gun is pointing at me, ive literally got one second to make it count and dont even think about aiming, i just pull the trigger.

    This looks really good! Would be awesome if you could record your progress with videos that are narrated so we get a better sense of the action and what goes through your mind :) +rep'd

    Heh, you'd get performance drops doing that with most games, Crysis might be a little more extreme :D Ironman seems a really good way to play, thanks for this :)

    taking a moment to calm myself i drop down and reload my weapons, i need another RL, i could head back into the school but that would be far too easy, theres some in the townhall which has quite a few KPA in. on the way there i spot one making a run for the school entrance. he doesnt get very far.

    i clamber through a hole in the fence and reach the townhall where i leap myway to to the roof
    and clamber across.

    the noise i make across the roof alerts the KPA inside, they are curious as to where i am, i take them all down before they can find out where. with them all down i clean out the armoury downstairs.

    i leave the townhall and steal this jeep before leaving the village and heading south

    going as far as i can by wheels i ditch the truck and head up on foot over the rocks, there's a pass that runs along a stream, along it i see several KPA coming towards me and one heading along the river, it appears the game has caught me out again, normally there are 5 heading through the river but it seems the majority of that group have just come running up along the pass and are sitting right next to me.

    this ain't good as the cloak is draining dangerously low. thankfully they are bunched up so i dispose of them quickly before turning my attention to the rest, they are all dead so i take out the one in the stream before moving onwards, man I'm loving this run through, the tension of iron man and the game has surprised me several times now. awesome :D

    massive gunfight ahead of me, it seems prophet is caught in the middle of it and is running south towards a system of caves, he wants me to meet him there. i head a little closer and it seems the KPA aren't interested in prophet, instead they've found the thing that killed Jester and Aztec, it leaves the KPA meaning i now have to deal with them. i take them out before finding the hostage that made a run for the village, nice ice shards

    i continue south, scanning the area with bi nocs i can hear the KPA by rustling they are making through the bushes but i cant spot them. taking out the FY i fire 2 shots in the air. sure enough they hear it and its not soon after that a flare races upwards and they call come running out into the open giving me chance to tag them, i count 8 with possibly more behind them. i better leave the area before they spot me.

    further south prophet warns me over the horn that there are KPA across the stream and that i should be careful, just as he does I'm fired upon by a sniper, max speed comes in handy for stuff like this so i peg it through the trees towards the meeting point, looks like the rest of the KPA want in on this so they start firing randomly into the trees.

    i hide for a bit and wait for them to exhaust their weapons before moving on and into a trap. it seems that whilst the KPA over the stream where keeping me busy a group of 4 of them snuck up on me. gotta fight my way free and preferably not die :\

    I managed to fight my way free even though i took a kicking :( further south it seems i cant go any further south, I'm blocked by rocks and the stream, i can either head back and take on the KPA who where randomly firing at me or i can abuse the suit, taking a few steps back run and max speed leap over the crevice before leaping up the rock face and out towards the checkpoint, i meet prophet up top who tells me the excavation site is through a system of caves, the level ends although i have a feeling that crytek were going to put a mine level in here instead of it coming out into RELIC.

    note: the game actually bugged on me and didn't display any further objectives beyond taking out the tanks, however rather then restart I've played the level many times and know that should this happen you can simply exit the level by getting to the caves at the end. i know all the communications and objectives anyway so i included them into the walk through. the next map is Relic, Relic is possibly the largest map in the game second only to Onslaught :(

    i'll write all 5.7 points of it later on. :thumb:

    we come out of the cave with Prophet complaining of there being a jammer blocking our comms to j-soc and that we need to take it out, makes me wonder if we have the shittest reception out there since o2. he also tells me that the excavasion site Rosenthall is at is about half a kilometer away before moaning about wanting to be off the island.

    I moan about being near him when suddenly our big alien Sun Machine comes outta ****in nowhere and takes Prophet on a magic carpet ride, excellent.

    Prophet dropped his rifle, more scar ammo for me plus he had a tactical grenade launcher attachment, which is rather handy, picking it up i scoot on down the path with some general guy in my ear telling me how hes now taking over now that prophet is gone, this pleases me somewhat in that he's aborting the mission and picking us up, that is before nomad (the guy im playing) decides to play the hero and carry on regardless, the tit.

    i miss and they scatter, i snipe the one hiding behind the shack whilst the other dives in.

    A jeep arrives to crash the party, i dislike uninvited guests. with them out i move into the shack and clobber the guy inside before making my way down the road under cloak, i need to take out the jammer so i can tag and keep track on things, this is going to be fun as i can hardly track anything atm, however the tagging system still works so i can still tag away to my hearts content :) i grab some ammo before heading off towards the jammer.

    im at the edge of the small village where the jammer is wheni meet a lone KPA coming out of a tomato (i think) field, i cloak up and grab him by the throat before rather cruely konking him aginast the fence. thats gotta have hurt.

    I take a look inside one of the shacks, theres a lone KPA there next to what looks like a fruit washing bath or something, i decide to give him a bath and he drowns in it. hilarious, i hear a kpa say something of how hes going to get me from behind, one of them has seen me give his friend a bath and hes not too pleased with it. no matter,

    with him out the way i cloak and hide, a jeep patrol is coming and they are quite persistant as they make regular rounds in the area every few minuetes. I'm going to have to watch my step until i have chance to take them out.

    I wait for the truck to pass when i leap atop the shack roof and watch the village below, nothing to binoc from up here, so i drop down and cloak my way to the green KPA shed and leap atop, i binoc 2 jeeps, one jeep gunner, a transport truck, 2 KPA grunts, an offroader and some chickens. theres a few more lurking in the fields behind me but i cant spot them from here, they'll soon come running when and if the fighting starts.

    i drop down quietly and disable the radar, excellent i can see things again, oh **** i see that patrol jeep on his rounds coming straight at me, i was going to leap atop the green shed again but i gotta wait for the jeep to bugger off, i got about 30% suit battery left, should be enough to cloak on the spot whilst i wait for him to pass.

    I spot something moving to my right so I leap back atop the green shed and havea quick binoc, found the guys in the fields :)

    I put my rifle away and sneak around the truck taking out the guard with my fists as i go, i then slide into the cabbage patch and take out the other one.

    I stick a silencer on my FY and pop over the fence and go to take out the gunner in the jeep when i see 2 KPA standing in front of him, crap, i never spotted those 2, i'll have to plan my takedown.

    I cant make a move yet as i hear that damn jeep coming again.

    I wait for it to pass before poking my head out and planting a clean headshot on the jeep gunner, his friends startled soon become FY meat.

    I see another behind the other jeep, good thing i had the silencer on when i took them down, slipping around the back i take him out before climbing on the bonnet of the parked vehicle, im gonna take that patrol jeep down, sure enough he comes around, i wait for him to drive on a little before popping the fuel can. theres another 3 dead, gonna head back into the village, i saw a rack of ammo and grenades and stuff right for the plucking :D

    the trio in the field to the back have started coming towards the village from the road, i spotted them on the radar before i made a visual (see, tagging IS usefull) so i pearch on a roof and wait for them to come closer. i wait for them to pass under me before disengaging the cloak to let the suit recharge

    CRAP! one of them saw me decloak, ive no idea how he did as i was on the roof above them, anyway he shoots out the roof im on and i crash through the shack and land at his feet, i nearly **** myself when i realise just HOW close i am to him!

    thankfully his comrades were still readying thier weapons when I grabbed him by the throat, the toss is clean and they both fall down, only one tries to get up. he doesnt get up again

    Panic over I load up on underslung grenades and ammo before checking the map and trekking south into the fields.

    I reach a checkpoint blocking the road, I tag around 6 KPA and one machinegun nest, normally there is a jeep parked under the roof, its gone and I've no idea where it is, tbh it occasionally gets stuck in a corner of the map but im not hoping for that, I crouch behind the tin fence and snipe at the checkpoint through a gap in the tin sheeting. I kill as many as i can see before i slip up to the checkpoint under cloak before leaping atop the shed and watching below

    it should be noted that this fork in the road is the deciding factor for heading into the base, if i head left i come to a footpath leaving the road that takes me through the front of the base, its heavily armed and v dangerous, heading straight on takes me the long way around and theres even more KPA forces to deal with, however they can be taken out quickly and easily and this way i can show you how to stealth your way into the enemy base and not set them all off. its quite hard to do the base completly stealthy but we'll have a go. :)

    3 left, i take them out and drop down, another kpa has manned the machine gun again so i take him out quickly before he has chance to swing the gun around and shoot me. i gather ammo from thier fallen weapons and head towards the road to the south.

    i hear a chopper incoming, choppers are *******s, if they spot you you are in trouble, cloaking and running wont save you as they can track your heat signature and still fire at you. the best thing to do is hide and let them pass or take them down quickly with an RL, i dive into the bushes as i get a warning from strickland telling me there is an armed convoy coming towards me, i need to get a clear spot to see this convoy so i run up to a ledge overlooking the convoy.

    sure enough there are lots of them, i can let them slip past by waiting in cloak for around 3 mins or i can take them down, if i were to wait it would be pretty boring and thats not what you want to read, however even tho i tagged 9 of them i can destroy the truck every easily, and i will show you how ;)

    i let the truck approach, it takes its time but i need it to take the right turn in the road, the reason for this is even tho its massive it still has a fuel tank, its not obvious as to where it is but its there, one thing to remember is when it is shot at it DOESNT burn, so its like an insta-bomb after 3 bullets, (it was fixed in warhead so that it burns but for now i'll take every advantage i can get). i wait for it to take the turn before opening fire. BA-BA-BA-BOOM.

    the guy on point runs up the hill behind me and gets a little too close, he is rewarded for his vigilance with a free airtrip curtosy nano-suit airlines, the last few KPA of the convoy panic into the bushes but bi-nocs make finding them and taking them down easy.

    I slide down and collect thier ammo before heading onwards down the road, i take a left and run up to an cliff that looks over the road ahead and get a good bi-noc of the area, i see 2 grunts and a truck, cant see how many are on the truck so we'll switch positions to see how many and to get a better killshot on them :)

    heading back to the road i skip straight over and run between the trees so that i come out behind the checkpoint. i can see 2 on the truck a gunner and a driver, as well as a 3rd grunt sitting on a machine gun covering the road im lurking on.

    we'll take out the gunner on the truck first before we take out the 2 on the back, you can snipe the driver from behind through the small pane of glass in the back of the cab, then we'll fire at the machine gunner watching the road im sniping from.

    it doesnt go quite to plan, i get the gunner and the one on the back but as i go for the driver he puts it in reverse and i miss, the guy on the back gets off as the driver gets out and pops a smoke grenade, this isnt good, i hear a chopper incoming. :(

    im pinned down whilst the chopper floats overhead, if i move i drain the cloak but sitting still i can watch the scene unfold, the chopper comes in low behind some bushes and i can see it drop some KPA off, i manage to tag 1 as he leaps from the chopper but i need to wait for them to come into sight before i can tag the rest, the chopper starts to leave, i still cant move however the remaining kpa come into visual and i tag 6 in total, counting those left still at the checkpoint i have 10 KPA to deal with. the chopper still hasnt left yet so theres not much i can do, suit is at 58% and dropping slowly, i got just under 2 mins of cloak left.

    an opportunity presents itself and i see the trucks fuel can within sights, i check the skies to my right, the chopper is gone and i see the 6 have walked around the front of the truck, BOOM TIME! :D

    the truck goes up nicely, i think its killed all of them, the gunner watching the road however has spotted me and has opened fire, i take a few very painfull rounds whilst im scrabbling back into the trees behind me, i'll let the suit patch me up before i head off and kick him in the ass.

    i come back out and snipe the gunner and his pals around the emplacement.

    with the checkpoint clear i head in and investigate the shack, a sniper rifle with a sniper scope awaits me, as well as ammo, RL's , frags and flashbangs, i feel complete, i ditch the FY for a min and head outside, the 6 dropped off by the chopper had laser aiming modules, ive never use them really but i'll take one anyway.

    equipping the SCAR with the sniper scope and laser sight i head over the bridge and up the road towards the base on the hilltop.

    i get about halfway up when i hear the engine of a truck coming, i see it has a full complement of KPA on it, i could cloak and let it pass or watch it come around the corner and destroy it in one shot, the sniper rifle is actually pretty crap at sniping KPA as ammo deflects off thier armor far too easily meaning you have to aim for the head + its noise always attracts attention so its far easier to use the SCAR for sniping like i have been so far, however i want it for the one shot i need to detonate this truck.

    I get into position and go prone, the FY can punch a fuel tank on these things in 3 bullets, the presicion rifle can do it in one, if i miss the tank i can always snipe out the front wheel of the truck bringing it to a halt before opening up on the KPA onboard it.

    it rumbles into shot just perfectly as i pull the trigger.

    sure enough the shot hits home and the truck goes up, its a glorious victory for the empire as i ditch the rifle and pick up an FY from the trucks burning remains i fit it for my "oh ****" weapon an chamber a round.

    top tip: never let a gun run empty when in combat, not only does it take time to reload the mag but you also have to waste time chambering a round, if you must empty the mag, switch to speed mode before you fire your last shot, you'll reload/re-chamber the weapon in half the time.

    i head up the road to the base and stop by a deralict red car, there are two paths leading away from it and i decide to take a peek down the route that leads down

    2 kpa are walking along with thier backs to me, big mistake, whilst im checking thier weapons for ammo i hear a chopper incoming, i quickly let the suit charge and then sit cloaked, sure enough a chopper comes racing along the river, it let pass.

    thinking that this route is too dangerous i head back to the road where strickland gets in touch, he wants me to access the kpa terminal in the base to gather intel so they can invade the island. tbh im more concerned about getting past it. I can still hear that chopper hovering around somewhere. this aint good.

    equipping the FY with a silencer i head along the mountain path which will lead me to a quiet part of the base, sneaking into the base i have a quick tag about, ive got 2 sniper towers, one to the east and the other to the south. i sneak up behind a machine gun nest and grab the gunner; tossing him out and into the vally below, someone has seen him taking a cheap flying lesson and up goes a flare. oh bollocks. the sniper in the tower ahead of me turns to face inwards, i quickly take him out securing my northern cover.

    a chopper comes in low to the base, i cloak and wait for it to pass, however the guy who fired the flare is coming towards me slowly, this is v bad, if i take him out the chopper will see me uncloak and **** me , if i wait he'll step on me and shoot me whilst im lying at his feet.

    I cant think what to do, the chopper hasnt landed yet and this asshole is getting ever so close, i cant slide away under cloak as the battery is running low. crap, I notice im lying next to a bush, i crawl next to it and wait for the bush will block los with the chopper, i uncloak, kill the kpa and cloak back up again before turning to the chopper

    I breath a sign of relief to see it hasnt spotted me. it comes in to land and drops off 6 KPA before heading back into the skies again. i wait for it to leave.

    I tag 6 KPA and a 7th coming towards me, the chopper is still in the air so i slide back to the bush and wait for the curious one to turn his back before taking him out. the chopper is gone and the 6 fresh drop offs havent been disturbed, i gotta take out that other sniper in the tower before i can make a move on anyone else.

    I make a move for the sniper tower stopping behind some crates to let the suit recharge, i can see the terminal from here

    Fully charged I cloak towards the sniper tower, my plan is the climb up it and snipe the other sniper from tower, on my way i spot 3 kpa next to it, I take a gander and see them facing me, nice group to take out in one fell swoop but the far one is hiding behind a barrel, i wont be able to take out all 3 quickly and quietly so i leave them be and slink back to the crates to recharge again.

    the 3 kpa decide to move off and start firing at something in the distance, the base alarm goes off. arse, now im stuck in the middle of a base going batshit.

    I watch the one side of the base empty which leaves me room to manuever, so i take out a gun emplacement before making my way back to the sniper tower, im still fairly open with him watching the northern side. with the gunner dead i spot a kpa standing at hte other side of hte valley, nice cheaky sniper shot. i must have it :)

    i recharge at the base of the sniper tower, the base alarm is still going off and ive no idea where all the kpa have pissed off to. i stick my head out and awesomly i have a clean shot at the sniper in the other tower

    with both snipers down i can freely move about and take out the rest of hte kpa. i head to the terminal to give strickland what he wants whilst there is an opening. :lol:

    I sneak towards the excavator taking out the remaining gun emplacement on this side. recharging I head out and check under the trailers for signs of KPA legs. no one there so i ninja dive into the trailer and access the terminal getting strickland his data.

    hes happy and tells me that the info will help them plan an attack on the island, he also tells me that where the excavasion site is and updates my map for me. its a bit of a trek so he tells me to get a truck and drive there, yeah because i want to get my arse shot off. :nono:

    i check the map to see where i should be going.

    watching my step i leave the green shed and head out to the east to leave the base, those 6 kpa are still sitting in the field. i think i'll leave them be. on my way out i pass the other sniper tower so climb out to scout out the area around me.

    i see a lot of kpa heading towards me through the rice fields. normally id have no second throughts about taking them all out but with the 6 stil in the field behind me i decide to wait and see what they do. they get so far before turning back on themselves, i decide to shake things up a bit and snipe one

    now, im gonna show you a very VERY dirty trick here, i used to use this in multiplayer and piss people off cronic :D see the wall of the sniper tower? well if you crouch and look carefully you will see a small gap between the metal sheeting and the framework? i'll leave you to figure out the rest.

    two head back into the rice field whist 4 come into the base. i snipe the one from the tower and wait to see what he friends do. i climb down from the tower to get a better sight off them, at first i think of taking them down from the roof of the shed im next to but i remember about the 6 in the field and decide not to, instead i head towards an empty machine gun nest and climbing the sand brick next to it to take them both out. just before i head out i decide to go deal with those 6 still standing in the field

    i open up on them with the underslung grenade launcher and miss horribly, they scatter and i take a few out with the FY before persuing them, a grenade goes off next to me which makes me jump but i dive behind some barrels and exchange fire taking out 2 more, bi noc'ing quickly i see several of them hiding behind one of the sheds and so shoot out thier knees.

    fun over i head back to spot a rogue kpa in the field, as he falls i see the sun is setting. it'll be dark soon, i better get a move on.

    I head into the rice fields and advance slowly, there is a house up ahead with a contingent of KPA and weapons, i see a jeep outside and take a long snipe at the fuel can with the SCAR, the silencer has nurfed the round so much at this distance that it doesnt pierce, the KPA next to it shits himself as i do, i expect a flare to go off in a sec so i quickly take the silencer off and try again, bang and the jeep is gone.

    the two kpa that headed back into the rice field have come back, I take up aim and snipe the one behind as to not alert the other, I take him out next before heading towards the house.

    I spot the house and a flurry of KPA activity so I lie in one of the rice fields to recharge the suit, I'm gonna take this lot on from another direction as there is no cover here.

    I make it to the house to see KPA on all sides, I cloak inside and raid what weapons and ammo i can before sticking a silencer on my FY, things are gonna get a bit messy so I shoot out the sticks holding open the windows to the house before heading for the exit from the house i spot a lone kpa by the dead jeep and take him out.

    his mates hear his death cry and come running like i hoped, i toss a flashbang out and catch two of them, blinded i take them down with the FY before leaping atop the roof and watching below, i toss a flash bang down blinding whoever is there bwfore adding a grenade to the mix, in the fight i managed to trash the house in the process. i take his pal out around the otherside before heading off for the dig site. damn this map is big

    running through the trees i reach a hill overlooking the river, i see a few KPA and a jeep, i snipe the one angering those in hiding, they come out running and i tag them just like i did back in the gas station in recovery, i hear a chopper incoming, i dont think i can hide from this one so im going to have to take it out, good thing ive got a fully loaded RL on my back waiting :)
