How hard? Not only do I have to do a hard reboot, I have to kill the power before turning it back on, or I'm met with a blank screen. A few comp details... Vista Ultimate 64 MSI 780i 4 GB Muskin 2.33 Ghz quad eVGA 260 GTX's in SLI This is the Steam version, BTW. I can start the game, and I make it all the way to the end of the 'Contact' cut scene. It crashes right after the visor is put on. Every time... However, I can load and play multiplayer without issue. I've also got no problems with any other of about 60 installed games. I simply can't get this figured out. I've updated all drivers and the BIOS. I've got nothing running in the background, and the OS is up to date. Tried SLI enabled and not. I tried DX9 mode. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Steam. I've deleted and reinstalled Crysis. WTH is left? Am I missing something? Any ideas?
Man, Craig.... that sucks. I had Crysis crash out on me too on my "BBW" system. It had something to do with the old GPUs, apprently. I don't really know what to tell you!
I'm sure it's up to date since you got it off steam, but have you checked for any patches for the game? I found a few things you could try - here ~Try running the game at Lowest settings possible ~try running from the DVD and not the desktop shortcut ~someone mentioned uninstalling the Nvidia network access manager Good luck man, I hope it works! Please report your findings if it does
