    hi all
ive been playing crysis for the last few days, all has been great apart from the odd lockup, now ive got as far as the carrier deck, (the part where theres a big spider looking thing), now i go near it and the computer starts juddering then locks up and i get a message saying crysis has stopped responding, im using an ati sapphire 4890 oc graphics card, now i thought it would be good enough to play crysis on medium settings (which its on) everything is set to medium, i just cant understand it any help would be great, mabe i thought wrong mabe the 4890 aint good enough for crysis, its that bad the lockup i have to reboot the pc ?????.
    thanks
    take care all

i had the same problem on that level.. How ever i believe it was down to my CPU at the time. which was an Athlonx2 4400+. Since upgrading to my currant one ive had no problems and i run at High settings.

What was sugested to me was save your save files in documents. Uninstall game reinstall and relocate your save file.. I dont know if this will work as i never bothered with it.

Also you could be overheating the 4890?

Yeah, Crysis is very intensive on the system. If you thought your system was stable with the overclock, it probably isn't stable enough to run Crysis. :)

Lower the overclock and try again.

i just finished playing through Warhead last night, and i must say that the entire experience was much nicer than crysis.

fewer crashes (only 2 in the whole game), runs better, story is better, levels are better. i suggest you get warhead and see if that improves things
