Gears of war is not really anything new in fps world. Dont fully get the hype on that game, Crysis on consoles wonder how they would get it running, (480p at best is my guess) (for those that might say 1080 remember what resolution that translates too(1920×1080). Then list a graphics card that can run it on medium or above at any decent fps) Your looking at 9800gx2 or ati version for stable fps at that resolution , And i thought consoles were the HD road to the future

Muchos Kudos for dedicating this to the PC crowd. Am mega pleased with this and pretty much on those grounds alone will support them and buy this. Should be more fun, the graphics are proven, let's get some serious gun play 'Psycho' style

 

Apparently, the new issue of PC gamer UK states crysis has sold 3 million, IF true, amazing for a PC only ttile that requires the best hardware out to run. Pc gaming is doing fine. Clear sky, this, Star Craft all PC exclusive. Sweet.

 

if they make it fun and interesting and put a good story on it... then i will buy it.

 

Now this makes the trilogy concept work perfectly.

Crysis is just a graphics demo. It's not really a game. Yaaaaaaawn!......

 

LOL, then how is COD4 a game? Linear small levels with trigger points and bad AI? If crysis is not reallt a game, what the hell is Halo, COD4? Get a life hater, gameplay in Crysis was top notch, with interactivity turned up toa level never seen in a game before.You have so many options in cryssi, go back to playing arcade, limited, linear console shooters.

Crysis was fun. Not world changing, but still holds its own against 90% of the stuff out there. Many readers of Bit-tech (like me) have very high standards for games, and not every game can be world shattering like HL2, Company of Heroes, or Starcraft. That being said, this game brought my rig to its knees (Opteron 165@2.6GHz, 8800GT, 2GB ram) running at 1680x1050. If they could have smooth out some menu issues (that stupid popup selector for nanotech powers and gun upgrades was annoying) and maybe oh... have coop... then it would have bumped it from good to great. Still mildly interested in the expansion though, but these "alternate perspective" expansion never really turn out well (See Opposing Force, Blue Shift, Operation JACK).

as long as it's PC exclusive, i'll buy the collector's edition. if it's not, pirate-bay here i come.
blaming the piracy for going console...... i'll make you blame yourself for the bad sells. (crappy console can't render CryEngine2 => wasted efforts for port => no one buys console ports + loosing PC customers )

 

Pirating the game is a dumb move and only makes it worse, get your head out of the sand. How will that help the Pc industry?
