Got a quick couple of questions. #1 Has anyone seen these 'crystal' or 'liquid' CCL's? they look kinda like plasma globes, but in a tube. Do they have a built-in inverter, at the end, or is it separate? #2 If the inverter is separate, can you easily remove the "end caps" and still have them work? If the inverter isn't separate, have you had any success removing it and re-routing the wires to make it separate? I'm working on a sweet mod for a buddy of mine, and this will be the only problem I've run into. The website pictures of the lights are shady, and i can't really tell, and the fit will be tight in the case nonetheless. I'll send in pics soon. Lyricc
My old liquid neon had an inverter on a short pair of wires (about 3") on the end of the tube. I did try extending them, but it really didn't take well to the extension, and promptly died. I know some other liquid neons come with the inverter attached to the tube aswell.
having the inverter on about 3 or 4 inches of wire wouldn't be a problem at all, i have a place for it at that distance, but i've seen a few that have the inveter accually stuck to the end of the tube, and that is what i was wondering about. those, and those freaking end cap things. Lyricc
