Hi, Ive narrowed my choice of pump down to the C-Systems CSP750 and the DDC. I prefer the CSP at the minute due to its size, but is it as quiet as the DDC? Also does it come with any barbs, or is this dependant on the retailer?

I am also looking for clearflex blue 3/8" tubing. Has anyone any idea where I can get this or if it even exists. I have found 1/2" and 10mm, but no 3/8". Thanks

DTek and i think DangerDen supply barbs with the C-Systems MAG pump. the CSP750 is not longer in production. as for size, i think you'll find that both pumps are quiet small.

Both are roughly the same sizer (the C-Systems MAG is a bit higher). If you visit their respective manufcaturer sites you will find schematic drawings with exact dimensions for both.

The C-Systems MAG is actually remarkably similar to the DCC internally (I suspect it uses the same components). It also performs on a par. I would expect the noise to be similar too.

The CSPs are EXTREMELY quiet. I've never used a DDC to compare, but I'd recommend the MAG.

It does look increadibly small. I think Ill go for the CSP.

Anyone any idea about the hose? Im looking blue, preferably clear blue as I had dye in my last setup and I wasnt impressed with the result.

SharkaComputers sells BLUE tubing, UV blue and just plain solid blue. and you can try FrozenCPU as well. you should find it at those 2 places.

Thanks for the link. I think Im going to have to get it from the US as nowhere in the UK seems to have 3/8". This is exactly what Im looking for. Now to see if they will post to the UK. Thanks again.

Isnt that the c-system pump that had problems with leaking. The water would get through the pump shaft and cause a short. Dont rember the model that did it but it was the same pump type as that one.

The CSP-MAG corrected the leaking and anodising rubbing off problems apparently. It's a solid little pump.

I would go for the mag over the 750 now. I am however looking into a DDC in the For Sale section :)

The first versions of the CSP-750 had leaking problems. It hasn't been an issue in either of my 750 Mark II's. The MAG completely fixes the possibility, as it's pretty much a complete internal redesign.

Mmm, turns out for $8 of hose p&p is $22. Back to searching UK sites. Even opaque blue would do.

    hi there
here is a review of the c systems mag pump

    http://www.systemcooling.com/csp-mag-01.html

i got one form http://store.over-clock.com/Pumps___Accessories.html and its a great little pump. its very quiet and doesn't get too hot.

but having said all that, the reason i have this pump and not the DDC is that i didnt have enough to get the DDC, the nice plexi top (and some leds to make it look nice) and some 1/2 barbs!

anyway how about checking out http://www.alphacool.de as they have the ddc and top and a fair range of hoses too. they also stock that black metal hose which looks like its nice and flexible. also worth a look is www.pc-frost.de but i am not sure they deliver to the uk

ps what blocks are you using?

Ive arranged to buy a DDC through these forums, so im sorted pump wise. I hada look at alphacool but they dont do 3/8" hose :(

As for blocks, im going to have a bash at making my own, and if (possibly when) that fails, ill probably go for a dd tdh, an8-sli chipset block and nv48 graphics card block. Im going to see how my custom blocks tunr out first though. It will pass a bit of time if nothing else :p
