Because? My arms are thin? Dont think thats a problem. I work on a farm and i can lift 25kg bags so...

By going to gym you get thicker muscles. If you sometimes lift some heavy things you wont get thick muscles, but you get stronger muscles.

But that was a little offtopic:

Is there something wrong with this project?

Nothing wrong with wooden cases, there have been several awesome ones here recently.

5-wood being one of the nicest I think. Also lets not forget the pure awesomeness of Cygnus X1:rock:

Oh Gawd! A wood case. It's going to catch on fire and burn down the house.
    /end sarcasm

    I like it. Continue on.

    Update 11
    Yepz, its going quite fast.

    Painting is finished!
Right now the painting is good enough (still not perfect, but i cant do it much better).

    Light
For my pleasure and not wanting to buy a CCFL (because the stupid inverter) I made some Led bars. They contain 10 leds on each side. So 40 leds wil light the upper section.

I forgot to make much pictures because it was my first time soldering.

    Fanmodding
Next step, led fans. Right now im having non-led fans:

But i wanted to light them up. So i drilled some holes in the housing. These are holes for leds.

    Standoffs
Because my donor case had a thick front panel i needed some standoffs for the 5,25" and 3,5" holder. So i grabbed a round piece of alu and a saw. This was the result.

    To all
Im so happy that the case is going well, also thank you all for the motivation by posting replies! :) :thumb:

    cya next time.

    Why not?

Thank you, and Cygnus is one of the sickest mods here.

    I will :D

    Update! Nearly finished

    Ledbalkjes
I got the question how bright the leds are. They are incredibly bright. That was my reason to shoot some pictures.

    Plexiglass + metal parts
I have mounted all of my plexi and metal parts today. Pictures of this are boring. Really anyone with a screwrdiver and screws can do this.

These cables are the only visible ones in the top section.

The bottom part which has the HDD mounts.

I mounted the led bars in this way.
Clamped between a piece of trangular piece of wood an plexi.

    More LED-fun
    [IMG]

    W00t, its a led-modded fan.

I wont do the other fans because they are in the bottom section and i wanted only light from the top section.

    Updatetime! Finished!
This project is finished! Finnally, it took me a too long time :p

You can see this via the windows :)

I cant tell you more than i know, the only cons i have are these:

    - No space for high coolers (True's etc)
    - Passive GPU :( It works, but it aint cool, i needed to add a fan onto it to let it run stable.
    - Fan noise

The last thing is the thing im going to fix. By replacing the CPU cooler with a scythe ninja all the fans can run a little slower. So its going to be less noisy!

I really appreciate your replies :) Hopefully you've enjoyed the worklog.

Better pictures of the system are coming when i have my new cpu cooler.

It came out really good.:D I like the cat-door for the harddrives.
Wood cases are only a problem if you have someone like me doing the wiring. Even then there isn't enough fire to ignite the casing.
