Got an old cubit 3 computer from 2004 I decided to upgrade.
Most of the hardware will be replaced and the case will get a quick makeover.
The case is made out of 5 mm alumina.

This how the case originally looked like.

Here is some pictures after I sandblasted the case and drilled some new ventilation holes.

I got most of the hardware so started to put it all back together.
On the top is the original DVD-reader. Under that is the SSD.
No fan on the CPU cooler and I hope the single 80 mm fan in the back will be enough.

I sooooo want one of those. Why are big-ass aluminum extrusions not more common.:(

I'm sure there's enough room to get a rad and some cooling blocks in there :D

I've never heard of the Cubit 3 but I like the case and the new vent holes are a nice touch, what's the new mobo I can see USB 3 sockets is it a wi-fi board, are you keeping the original DVD drive?

I'm sure a rad could be squeezed in but it would be very tight. I'm going to use this computer as an htpc in my bedroom and mostly stream movies so it would a bit overkill to watercool it.

The moderboard is a Zotac H77 ITX wifi and the CPU is an i3-3220T (TDP 35 W).

Yes, the DVD drive is the original one, it won't be used much so no need for a new one.
