    Hello,

I recently built my own computer, everything worked until I connected my monitor. It didn't work, so I tried other monitors, none of them worked. Now I started thinking that it could by my gfx, but the fan on the gfx is working. I'm pretty new to all this and I have no idea what to do any more.

I hope someone can help me, thank you.

by didn't work, you mean that it has no signal but power is going into your mobo and gpu?
have you checked that your mobo has the 4/8 pin cpu power connector in properly as well as the main 24 pin? it happened to me once, the lights were on but no one was home turns out i didnt push the 4 pin in properly.
    otherwise, is it posting?

Can you plug the monitor into the VGA on the motherboard?

If its a new build, you will need to conenct it to the normal monitor output

    boot up
    into bois

make sure the display adapter is set to PCI-E

im asusing its a pci-express card.

    Save changes
    shut it down
plug monitor into the gfx card and boot up

    did that work?

did you make sure the card is 100% seated properly in the PCI slot ? give it a good push down.

also what gpu is it ? most gpus have lights on them red/green to represent the card is getting power, they are usually located near the pcie power pins.

also are you using the 8-pin from your psu for the PCIE and not by mistake using the 8 pin for the CPU from the PSU ?
