I'm not so sure on where to put this, but I figure that its modding. Now, I've been engraving wood for a while now (my site is http://www.freewebs.com/custom-engravings/ ), and I'm wondering if skills from engraving wood could be easily applied to engraving cases. I'm aware that they are very different materials, but I'm just wondering if a skill at one would generally assist the other, or is the difference that extreme?

Should be almost the same just make sure your equipment can handle metals and have a steady hand cause the bits'll jump.

going from soft acrylic or wood to harden steel might be a big jump, always practice before you start
